Here’s a video about a lawsuit filed against MarkOne Financial for contacting a consumer’s “friends” on her Facebook page. Privacy is a thing of the past and of course it is NOT legal to contact third parties other than to get a debtor’s current address. Here’s an article on Rawstory.com:

Linda Almonte recently posted her comment at my previous post about her lawsuit against Chase. This is NOT a collection suit, but she claims that was fired by Chase because she refused to assist with the sale of judgments with unconfirmed balances. A client just received the NCO notice of deletion. He didn’t receive the final bill and he wanted to settle the account. I advised him NOT to pay because you get NO FICO scoring points for PAYING collections. So he sent his factual dispute to NCO and they responded by advising that they requested documentation [...]
