Welcome to the 2010 Stephen Snyder documentary

I’ve been following Stephen Snyder and his Bradley Ross credit repair scam for many years.

My posts at Lexington and Bradley Ross Law credit repair fraud EXPOSED! were read tens of thousands of times and eventually Bradley Ross was shut down after an extremely RARE event:  a Bar Association actually investigated complaints.

Here is an interesting recent posting about Snyder:

The Truth about Stephen Snyder the “Credit Expert”

March 22, 2010 by Michael Mack

If you filed bankruptcy in the last 10 years, there’s a good chance you received an invitation from a character named Stephen Snyder. He claims to be one of the nation’s leading credit experts.

I’m not so sure about that. In fact, I call that claim B.S.

This Snyder dude is scary.  My “intel” on him has revealed some troubling facts about this “expert”.  Stephen Snyder is not an attorney. And his so-called “free” seminars come with a catch.  You see, what Snyder does not, or did not, tell folks is that he was paid big money by law firms who he promoted at his “free” seminars.

One of the law firms, who he highly recommended for money, is now out of business.  This law firm is, or was, called Bradley Ross.  This Snyder endorsed law firm has left a trail of ticked off clients in its wake.

In fact, I am in receipt of a video showing Snyder attempting to explain the situation with Bradley Ross.  This video was sent to me by a former attendee of Snyder’s “free” seminar who is peeved at both Snyder and Bradley Ross.

Now that Bradley Ross has imploded, Snyder has moved over to an outfit called “Allen Michael”.  The question is, why would you trust this outfit anymore than you would trust the past credit repair outfits Stephen Snyder formerly endorsed?  My advice is don’t trust them, and don’t trust Stephen Snyder any more than you can throw the guy.

There is SO much to add about the Bradley Ross scam, I’ll have to write a new post and include the documentation when I have more time.

Essentially, Bradley Ross was SNYDER’s company and he just paid a lawyer a few dollars to be able to advertise the LAW firm and to make BIG bucks without disclosing that HE received the Bradley Ross income.

When Snyder started Allen Michael credit repair, he had my web host REMOVE one of my postings about him because it contained a LEGALLY used altered picture of him (satire) and I deleted the web page with HUNDREDS of complaints about Stephen Snyder (Bradley Ross).  I don’t defraud my clients and I therefore don’t have the cash to hire attorneys to battle his attorneys.  If any reader can provide me with webspace or info about uncensored webhosting, I’ll be glad to repost the web page with the many complaints.

After Bradley Ross imploded I hoped to never hear about Stephen Snyder again.

But, no such luck.  Readers kept submitting information about Snyder’s new ventures and all kinds of interesting info and documentation about his shady dealings.  Apparently Snyder made many enemies who are willing to expose how he deceived the seminar attendees.

Most recently I’ve been informed that Snyder is getting ready for more seminars.

I have had several clients who attended his “Life After Bankruptcy” seminars and most were quite impressed.

Why do people fall for Snyder’s “tanned wannabe playboy” look?

I suppose it explains why crooks are running the planet.  Most people strive to become like Snyder, to reek of success and scam.  It’s disgusting, I don’t understand it, but that IS reality.

So I finally set up this blog, primarily to provide readers with the opportunity to make public the information they’ve been emailing me.

I don’t have the time to spend days searching my email and posting documents and court filings, but you are welcome to post your information in comments right here.

If you are concerned with ANONYMITY:

Please submit your information through our CONTACT FORM and I will COPY the content and PERMANENTLY DELETE the email so that there will be no possibility of tracing you.  Please make sure you indicate whether specific information is CONFIDENTIAL for my offline records.

If you still plan to attend one of Snyder’s seminars

Don’t whine at ME if you end up being scammed.  Please read the FDRS DAMAGE REPORTS and understand that MOST of these victims signed up for this fraud AFTER I publicly exposed the FDRS scam.  While many victims didn’t do any research, some readers were actually ANGRY at me for exposing the fraud because it “could” work.

Get real! Once a scammer, always a scammer.

If you wonder why Snyder has so many testimonials at his seminar site, keep in mind that:

  1. these testimonials could be MADE UP
  2. there are many STUPID people
  3. there are many CORRUPT people

If those testimonials are in fact real, those people either have the intelligence of cows — unlike the hundreds who figured out they got scammed and posted at the web page I removed due to Snyder’s legal threats — or maybe they got a REFUND or maybe they just got PAID.

More information about REFERENCES and how people are scammed.

Please also note that currently only seminar attendees can subscribe to Snyder’s newsletter.  Apparently he does NOT want people like me to be able to expose whatever scams he promotes now.  I used to get his newsletter and it showed that Snyder knows very little about credit and especially FICO scores.

You have all the information required to make RATIONAL decisions about attending Stephen Snyder’s “free” Life After Bankruptcy seminar and signing up for the products he sells (and gets paid for selling or actually owns.)

Would you be willing to write an article comparing and contrasting the content produced by Stephen Snyder versus the Credit Secrets Bible from the Zodiac Publishing Corporation? I’d be curious to hear your thoughts and opinions, that’s certain.

I attended one of Stephen Snyder’s seminars some time ago after a bankruptcy and have received his – free – newsletters ever since. I’ve never been scammed, never lost any money, and frankly, I think he knows quite a bit about credit and, in particular, FICO scores. I know this is a fact because I have compared his information with that which is posted on Forbes, Investopedia, WalletPop, and many other reputable investment and financial sites, as well as the websites of the credit counseling providers that are certified by the US Bankruptcy Courts to administer the mandatory counseling pursuant to the 2005 changes to the Bankruptcy Code. Snyder’s information closely parallels that found on the sites I mention above, and in many cases, goes into a lot more depth and explains it more fully and understandably. I have to ask myself: how intelligent are YOU sir, who create slanderous websites and label persons such as myself “unintelligent cows” (or “STUPID” or “CORRUPT”) – and what do you stand to gain by slamming Snyder? It appears you are merely a competitor who is bitter about not being as successful. No one paid me to say this, and I daresay I am far more intelligent and educated than you. I just happened to catch sight of your hate-mongering while Googling for investment information and became curious to see just exactly how it is that Snyder supposedly “scams” people – as I said before, I never paid a dime for his seminars, and he never asked me for any money nor tried to convince me to purchase anything or sign up for anything. In my opinion, it is you, sir, who are the fraud.

Apparently I forgot to respond to this post or I thought it’s rather obvious that a 33rd degree moron submitted this comment (addressed me as “sir”), but there is one question I want to answer:

… and what do you stand to gain by slamming Snyder?

I’ve spent the last 20 years HELPING people and I rarely get paid.

To me it’s MOST important that I live by my principles and I do whatever I can to warn people about scammers. Much of it is credit related as I am a FICO scoring expert. I documented bugs in the credit scoring software that NONE of the socalled “experts” even noticed:

2/26/07: Open Letter to Fair Isaac Regarding its Addition of FICTITIOUS Derogatory Data to Credit Reports and Sale of Defective myFICO Reports

My research is available entirely free of charge at my websites and for only $45 anyone can purchase a 6-months subscription to my CreditFactors knowledgebase and member forum for personal advice. I have a conscience and I live by it.

Snyder is NOT the only credit repair scammer I’m picking on, but he earned himself this blog because he repeatedly sicked his lawyers on me and caused me problems with my web hosts.

Lastly and also very important, the people he scammed post comments and update with Snyder’s latest scams and that of course motivates me.

Just got an invitation from Stephen Snyder to attend his “After Bankruptcy” seminar.

One of the things that caught my eye from this “invite” was his return address. There’s an arrow pointing to it and it says “I’m a real person just like you. I don’t hide behind a PO Box or 800 number”.
So of course, being naturally curious I went to google maps to look it up. The address is real alright…guess mister Snyder has a part time gig as a Funeral Director? 11171 Hoosier Road, Fishers, Indiana 46037….is a cemetery.

I then found this blog and a few others, filled with complaints about the guy.

Is he an idiot? Or just a scoundrel? I guess most people are morons who won’t even bother to do a basic search on the guy. The word “FREE” will continue to con people forever.

Its sad that you would slander someone without a second thought. That address belongs to a building that is located next to a cemetery…but it is not a cemetery. They do own that building. Prior to attending his seminar I confirmed that through the city, and they confirmed that the building is owned and still used by Stephen’s company.
This man is not a lawyer, nor did he ever claim to be. What he did do was help myself and many others at a time in our lives when we needed a little guidance the most. He is a man that offers advice from experience, and keeps his information updated with the times. I too have seen complaints about him, which to this day I do not understand. I never paid a penny for anything to this day. I am thankful for Mr. Snyder’s advice.

Thank you for all the information you have provided on Stephen Snyder and his Allen Michael organization. I recently attended his After Bankruptcy seminar and like many others was suckered in to the promises of the Allen Michael organization. Luckily I decided to do some research prior to starting with them and am so glad that I did.

This whole post did not say how he “scammed” people or why you think his seminar’s are thought to be wrong. You say he has tanned playboy looks, what does that have to do with anything? I watched his free seminar a month ago, yes i get the occasional email every two weeks giving me new information about bankruptcy advice, but not once did he try to push me into purchasing something. He does recommend a few things such as Allen Michael but from the research I have done, it is a legit way to improve your credit score. There are many other lawyers out there that offer the same service. The point he is trying to make is these things are things that worked for him, they may or may not work for you or the next person, but some of it will and you will see some results whether it is a little or a lot. I learned a lot from the seminar, its what you retain and do with it is what makes the difference. You can’t really scam a person who has very little money. And yes I am sure he does get paid by these law firms to push there name, why wouldnt he…..its advertising for them infront on thousands of potential customers, and in return, they give us a fair rate for there services.

Point blank- I have not used Allen Michael, but i attend to, what is it gonna hurt? worse case scenario, my credit score stays the same crappy way. Best case, it works and my credit is rebuilt a lot faster than i once thought possible. Choose your own fate, review the resources you once had or are newly given and make a choice. I’m making mine and I dont think I will regret it!

I actually did attend the Credit After Bankruptcy seminar about close to 10 years ago. I do remember the law firm he recommended. I personally didn’t pay for anything he offered. I also received the newsletter for a while. I can’t say he scammed me, because I took all the advise he gave me for free and used it to boost my credit score, buy my first house with a 5.6 percent interest rate, and finance a used car through my bank with a single digit interest rate; all while in bankruptcy! My heart goes out to anyone, if they were scammed by this man, but for me personally, I have to say that what he taught me helped me immensely; and I didn’t pay a dime for it!

You claim to have attended Snyder’s seminar 10 years ago. Why are you looking for him NOW?

Also, do you all remember Jeffrey Dahmer? He killed 7 people and ate some of them. Do you really think everybody who ran across him and didn’t get killed should be standing up in his defense and post what a great guy he was?

      What’s wrong with you?

Snyder has made MILLIONS off people who at best, lost their hard earned money. He advertised the “free” seminar and MANY people signed up for his Bradley Ross credit repair. Many victims PERMANENTLY lowered their credit rating. Some of the people who fell for Snyder’s Bradley Ross scam ended up in foreclosure and divorce — lost everything because they followed Snyder’s advice.

I can understand that many of you are enthralled by his playboy look and you want to be just like him — rich and famous. Just look at how he ended up:

A giant LOSER, filing for bankruptcy AGAIN after the Bar Association shut down his Bradley Ross credit repair scam, losing his million dollar house to foreclosure, with a million dollar in judgments against him and his companies and ONGOING litigation, and of course his beautiful wife filed for divorce:

Stephen Snyder won’t let you register unless you give him the information on your bankruptcy filing. When you do that, you give him electronic access to information that can be used to steal your identity and many other forms of fraud. You bankruptcy information is online and can be accessed by anyone with the basic ability to logon to the PACER system. Do you want somebody in Costa Rica reviewing your pay stubs and all of the other things you have to file with the bankruptcy court.

I don’t care if Stephen Snyder is a good guy or a bad guy. Never give anyone personally identifiable information which includes, but is not limited to, your address, SSN, bank account number, credit card number, AND bankruptcy filing information.

I filed BK7 in 2003. I bought the Life After BK book and it helped me a lot. The book showed me how to rebuild my credit. My credit score went from 595 to 646 within 6 months of reading this book. I wrote Mr.Snyder thanking him for the information. He in returned asked if I would read his upcoming book and give pointers for FREE. This man is NOT a crook. I like the others did not see how he “scammed” anyone!!

I don’t think I’ll have any takers. It’s rather obvious that people like Leslie are either Mr. Snyder himself or posting on his behalf. There is NO reasonable explanation for anyone who filed for bankruptcy in 2003 to be posting about Mr. Snyder NOW.

If you REALLY believe that Stephen Snyder is such a great guy, are you willing to put up some of YOUR MONEY?

How about YOU pay for my services to TRY to fix what his Michael Allen credit repair FRAUD screwed up?

I will NOT approve any other moronic posts like this one UNLESS it comes with a PAYMENT guarantee.

It takes $300 to prepare the FACTUAL disputes to attempt to undo what Michael Allen screwed up. With some luck, that will do it. However, VALUABLE discharged accounts may have been deleted PERMANENTLY and the credit bureaus may refuse our FACTUAL disputes due to verifications of Allen Michael frivolous disputes.

To Casey regarding his concern about security:

“Do you want somebody in Costa Rica reviewing your pay stubs and all of the other things you have to file with the bankruptcy court.”

Be aware that most major banks and the credit bureaus have their credit reporting and/or investigations in foreign countries such as India, Jamaica, etc.

The guy who started the Lifelock “ID Theft protection” is a convicted felon. He committed ID theft.

The ONLY real protection is to have terrible credit. MOST ID theft is due to security breaches at banks, credit bureaus and other businesses.

I still wouldn’t recommend providing personal info to people like Snyder or any credit repair mill. I don’t have ANY employees because it is extremely expensive to ensure that you have HONEST employees. Not to mention that analyzing credit reports takes SKILLS few people have.

I really can’t imagine WHY Snyder would require BK info for his “FREE” seminars. Is it to market the attendees? Sell their info?

When you’re giving away something totally FREE, you really have no reason to demand all the personal info included in the BK filings.

I’d love to see people who were scammed by Stephen via the BKA (Bankruptcy Advisors) and JPO (Junior Partner) programs, post their experiences here.

Newsflash: If you are unhappy with Stephen’s performance under these programs, he is more than happy to “attempt” to sell your territories at the new Small Business Seminars that he will be hosting. (no mention if he will be taking a commission on the transaction).

JPO, I am one of the Jr Partners that Stephen scammed for $500 dollars. I have been trying for months to get some kind of response from him and now the numbers and emails I have for him as far as I know must not work. I am surprised that this is the first time I have seen anyone mention the BK program and who would buy a territory for something that doesn’t exist? I don’t even know how to get a hold of him any way. I THINK HE IS NOTHING BUT A LOSER AND LOW LIFE. IF YOU HAVE ANY INFO N HIM i would appreciate it! I lost $5000 on Stephen Snyder’s BKA program. I’ve had a number of conversations with him over the last year and it’s always the same stall: “Hang in there, big things are coming” He told me the How to Start a Business Seminar was a way to find people to buy out disgruntled BKAs. This sounds like a ponzi scheme to me. Everything he does is with the intention of finding other people to finance his lifestyle and then working to never re-pay them; Whether it be the banks, finance companies or other bankrupt people! Don’t know if there is a class action law suit as a result of the BKA business, but I’m surprised an Attorney General in some state hasn’t opened an investigation.

    I hear you Ray.

Do what I’m doing. I am sending all my documentation to the owner of this site. She has already gotten hold of some revealing info on the Junior Partner scam Stephen started up last year and is not afraid to put it out there. If more BKAs and JPOs provide her with their documentation maybe we can get somewhere with a legal option.

JPO, I visited ripoffreport.com and did a search for Stephen Snyder and found nothing. Do I have to register? On another note; I don’t think BKA’s or JPs will ever see their money. Even a successful law suit will only get us in line behind any secured creditors. It appears the creditors are many and distinguised. Not sure the negative energy behind Stephen Snyder and this whole mess is worth the pursuit. That said, he should be stopped from trapping others.

  22. JPO
    September 10, 2011 | 12:34 am

I agree Ray….he needs to be stopped. But I fear his lack of ethics and character will only cause him to rise again with another scam by another name. A hard slap on the wrist that can be spread across the internet virally may be the only thing that gets his attention. Sites like this one are a way to do that. Getting his name ranked high in search results and associated with this fraud is a good way to curb his activities.

I mentioned ripoffreport.com because it usually gets high search rankings if enough people respond to a post there.

Yes you do need to register to post there and no, as of now, he is not a topic….yet. Its on my list of things to do this weekend. 🙂

Have you seen his latest stall tactic email? I’ll post it next.

    September 10, 2011 | 12:35 am

Here’s Stephen’s latest stall email……notice how he, as usual, does NOT commit to any hard dates or timeline. Also I hope he has a better proofreader for his books than he does for his emails. LOL

    “Hey ,

There’s light at the end of the tunnel…

We just finished updating two more books!
All that’s left is updating the mortgage book
and editing the new book, “Life After Bankruptcy.”

    Here’s a shot of all the books…

Becky is editing the mortgage book and has told me
that she is more than half done.

The last book is a new one. It’s the one I’ve struggled
with the most…but I finally feel good about it. It’s a
new book called Life After Bankruptcy. Basically, it’s
the best and most powerful LAB newsletters, re-edited
    into a book format.

The content has already been chosen. It will be a breeze
    to finish.

What this means is that you’ll have a product to sell soon!

My best guess now is htat we will test a new direct mail
piece featuring the product before the holidays…analyze
the numbers…then roll out like a canon after the first
    of the year.

What this new direct mail piece means to you is that
you won’t have to do anything but talk to people who
are interested in purchasing and taking orders. It’s the
closest thing to money appearing in your bank account
with little effort as you can get.

    That’s the update.

I’ve spoken to many of you one-on-one, and I know the
majority of you are still excited about the opportunity and
ready to begin. With the book series printed and ready for
sale, we can finally do just that.

    Have a good weekend.

Another “after the first of the year” promise. How many of those have I heard? About a month ago he told me that the BKAs will only be entitle to commission on books we sell directly…meaning that any book sales placed directly via the internet we get no commission. Assuming the best…how many people will call us to buy the book when they can easily order online. Does SS think we are now going to order (an pay for of course) and inventory books to keep on hand for sales? I still can’t believe I was so stupid as to get involved. I remember him saying once that he had a number of inquiries from attorneys to buy into the BKA but was “saving” the opportunity for those that deserved it(dopes like me). An attorney would have figured this out and tied him up in court for years!
    I should have been smarter.

  25. JPO
    September 11, 2011 | 3:54 am

Ray, don’t be too hard on yourself. I tend to think that its not a question of smarts but rather vermin like him preying on our trust that people will do the right thing and mean what they say. He needs to pay for violating that trust and we need to show others what a low life he really is. The owner of this site is building a special site where we can all tell our stories and post our documentation and most importantly, Stephen’s lies. We need to expose him to the light of day and the bring him and his staff out into the open. It will only work if we all chip in so people will know how many people he ripped-off.

    September 14, 2011 | 2:58 pm

Well it had to happen. Good old Stevo had to send out his 1st bit of hate email to try to blunt the slew of complaints he’s getting over the JPO and BKA programs. He also offers a sorry excuse for his lack of production……and actually says we should have expected it. To quote the BK guru:

Now that I can see light at the end of the tunnel, I thought it was appropriate to share my views on one of the most important lessons in running your own business.

The first and most important lesson in business is that nothing ever goes as planned.

As a business owner you must accept this.

As a successful business owner you must embrace it.”

So what he is saying is that the lack of promised live seminars, the dearth of promised webinars and the absence of books and manuals is not due to his lack of effort.

Its all due to his 1st lesson of business…..”nothing ever goes as planned”.

    Way to shirk accountability Stephen!!!!

But we should “embrace it” Stephen???? You mean we should have expected you to not hold up your end of the contract? Ah, I see, silly me……we really dropped the ball.

I can see it now. GE, IBM, Apple……they probably all say “Its OK” when their partners don’t deliver. They have embraced “nothing ever goes as planned”. Right Stephen???

But Snyder’s email gets better……and more hateful!

“The few advisors who are complaining, whining, bitching, moaning, writing nasty letters, and posting negative comments on blogs will never own or run a highly successful business of any kind. They will always live short of their potential.

They haven’t learned the first lesson in business…nothing ever goes as planned.

Thank goodness I can count the negative BK Advisors on one hand.”

Stephen, I guess your hand has many fingers more than five because they are making enough noise to make you react in a very mean-spirited way.

Speaking only for myself, the postings of comments, blogs and emails certainly has gotten your attention……and that’s one of the goals. There’s much more coming as your underestimate the viral power of the internet to spread the message about you.

You want it to stop? All you have to do is wave the white flag, pay everybody back and get a real job.

      September 16, 2011 | 10:51 am

Excellent and well said. Just pay us back, be done and walk away from the program and YES get a real
J O B. This advisor program will NEVER launch and stop treating us like we should continue to believe you. SS is a fake and phony and he’s been caught with his hand in the cookie jar and WE will all bring him down. If you’re not part of the Monday night calls I started, please email me at [redacted].

Let me see if i can help clarify some of this for you all…mind the typo’s

    1. The address he advertised that was next to a cemetery was owned by them (michele and stephen) they may still own it they store furniture there (they are now in a small office park in indianapolis as their corporate building was forclosed on).

    2. It is a scam unfortunatley (ther is some good stuff) and guy named John Ulzheimer wrote for him he is a reputable guy.

    3. He fired like all of his staff except some people in the agency that writes the letters for you to try to remove bad credit (Allen Michael) it used to be called bradley ross law until it got shut down. A receptionist , remaining employees a computer person, and i think a helper ooh and the guy that writes his stuff (news letters, books, email marketing).

    4. He and his wife (soon to be ex) owes alot of money to alot of people vendors etc they will never see.

    5. he did live in florida (ft myers) then his home was forclosed on.

    6. he now lives in South Beach florida renting and apartment in a luxery building.

    7. he had a home in Wyoming also forclosed on.

Run from this guy, if he owes you money write it off and move on. you will never see it again. Sadly he and his wife have ruined alot of family’s lives. they are not good people in my opinion. I am sure he will continue to get people to trust him and pay him money. the sad thing is his cousin

    God Bless

Thanks for the info, In The Know.

It couldn’t have happened to a more deserving guy…..the sleaze!

We should be going after his wife too. Michele, you lived the good life and you knew exactly what was going on.

I have been using Allen Michael for almost a year. I have gotten 11 negatives deleted on TransUnion, and I can’t remember how many on Equifax. The only one I haven’t gotten any deletes on is Experian.

I know Allen Michael has to be affiliated with Stephen (and he has NEVER claimed to be a lawyer) but as of a few months ago, he’s no longer referring business to them.

I don’t care why, I don’t care about his lawsuits, I know that his advice has worked for me. I was able to open a credit card following his exact advice as well.

I guess you have to take your own chances.

    Good luck to you all.

What is your relationship with Snyder? How do you know that he no longer refers Allen Michael?

And why do you think it’s good to get accounts DELETED?

1/6/04 – TU FICO score with 72% B/L, charge-off — 664, AFTER deletion of the chargeoff: score went DOWN 18 points!

I posted my findings in 2004. The post was read almost 20,000 times. I’ve posted at other sites about the dangers of deletions and scummy outfits like Allen Michael and super expert Stephen Snyder still don’t that deletion of accounts can PERMANENTLY lower your scores SIGNIFICANTLY.

There’s about a 0% chance of getting a deleted derogatory account back on your credit.

And regarding getting a credit card, what was this “exact advice” Snyder gave you?

      My advice:

Do the PREQUAL for Cap One and Orchard and you’ll most likely get approved for at least one of the cards. Here are the links:

Capital One purchased HSBC (Orchard) – will they continue to offer BOTH cards?

I even know people who got an Orchard card after defaulting on an HSBC (Orchard issuer) account after HSBC sold the charge-off. If you are NOT able to get either of those accounts, please post here.

I didn’t say that getting collections deleted is bad.

This comment just goes to show how difficult it is for the average person to work on their credit. For FICO scores there’s a HUGE difference between chargeoffs, collections reported as COLLECTIONS and collections reported as TRADELINES.

And for the record, nobody has “all 7 collections” deleted within one month unless they were truly not their accounts. Well, maybe not nobody, but it’s a lot like winning the lottery. Could happen, but is EXTREMELY unlikely.
